| Article 115. General provisions for presses: Presses, cutters and similar machines must be equipped with protection or devices aimed at avoiding that hands and other parts of the workers' body be injured by the punch or by other moving, working parts. Such protection or devices, depending on the type of machine or the production demands, may be constituted by: a) fixed shields that allow the passage of the materials in the dangerous work area, but not that of the worker's hands; b) movable shields completely protecting the dangerous area, that do not allow the punch movement unless it is in the off position; c) devices that remove hands automatically commanded by the moving working parts of the machine; d) devices that impede the descent of the punch when the workers' hands or other parts of the body are in a dangerous position. The safety devices consisting in the obligatory command of the machine through two parts to be maneuvered contemporaneously with both hands can be considered sufficient only in the case that the machine is run by a single worker. Said protections and security devices may be omitted when the machine is equipped with automatic or semi-automatic feed-devices. |
Articolo 115. Dispositivi per le presse in genere: Le presse, le trance e le macchine simili debbono essere munite di ripari o dispositivi atti ad evitare che le mani o altre parti del corpo dei lavoratori siano offese dal punzone o da altri organi mobili lavoratori. Tali ripari o dispositivi, a seconda del tipo della macchina o delle esigenze della lavorazione, possono essere costituiti da: a) schermi fissi che permettono il passaggio dei materiali nella zona di lavoro pericolosa, ma non quello delle mani del lavoratore; b) schermi mobili di completa protezione della zona pericolosa, che non consentano il movimento del punzone se non quando sono nella posizione di chiusura; c) apparecchi scansamano comandati automaticamente dagli organi mobili della macchina; d) dispositivi che impediscano la discesa del punzone quando le mani o altre parti del corpo dei lavoratori si trovino in posizione di pericolo. I dispositivi di sicurezza consistenti nel comando obbligato della macchina per mezzo di due organi da manovrarsi contemporaneamente con ambo le mani, possono essere ritenuti sufficienti soltanto nel caso che alla macchina sia addetto un solo lavoratore. I suddetti ripari e dispositivi di sicurezza possono essere omessi quando la macchina sia provvista di apparecchi automatici o semi-automatici di alimentazione. |

Guillotine shears: Guillotine shears moved by motors must be equipped with protection aimed at impeding that the hands and other parts of the body of the workers running them be injured by the blade, unless they have automatic or mechanical feed that does not require the introduction of the hands or other body parts in the danger area. | Articolo 120. Cesoie a ghigliottina: Le cesoie a ghigliottina mosse da motore debbono essere provviste di dispositivo atto ad impedire che le mani o altre parti del corpo dei lavoratori addetti possano comunque essere offesi dalla lama, a meno che non siano munite di alimentatore automatico o meccanico che non richieda l'introduzione delle mani o altre parti del corpo nella zona di pericolo. |
